An Exploration of Art’s Ability to Empower Communities and Promote Activism

Join me, as I pursue my graduate studies and share my research in Art, Community, and Education.  My work emphasizes the importance of grassroots arts organizations who address issues related to personal, social, and environmental conflict.  This blog is comprised of field studies, photovoices, research, and other helpful resources I acquired throughout my studies and professional work.

Arts education- in all its forms- yields an unparalleled, fundamental opportunity for societal change. When we create and support equitable, healthy, sustainable, safe spaces for individuals to express their truths, we empower more people to create a future worth fighting for.

Let’s explore various practices, communities, organizations, and people use to achieve this in their work… together.
